Founder of aquaDucks

Welcome to aquaDucks!
Back in 1989, I started this swim school with a small group of children at the Hollandse Club. An expatriate myself, I was born in the Netherlands and grew up in many countries across the world. Between the ages of 12 to 16, I swam competitively at the Hollandse Club before moving to the Netherlands to become a swim teacher. Passionate about water safety, I returned to Singapore in my early thirties to start my swim school, aquaDucks.
In time, aquaDucks became renowned for its service and lessons amongst the expatriate and local communities and grew by leaps and bounds since. Today, our bubbly team consists of 30 swim experts from all over the world. We teach at multiple locations in Singapore, and our database counts over 2500 students.
We are proud to offer a unique swim experience for our students. Our team consists of like-minded professionals. We are incredibly passionate and share the belief that our students’ individual needs and water safety are fundamental in their swimming journey. We never stop learning, and we ensure to provide the most qualified and unforgettable swim experience to our students.
On behalf of the aquaDucks team, I wish you a splashing fresh welcome.

A World-Class Swimming Programme

The aquaDucks programme is a smart blend between the best American, European and Australian teaching techniques and further streamlined to the specific weather conditions and needs in Singapore. Combined with the most vibrant, energetic and fun coaches you will ever find, we deliver an exclusive world-class swimming programme.

Our swimming programme consists of 18 different levels and is divided into three parts: Babies & Toddlers, Preschool and Learn to Swim. In the initial stages, we focus on personal survival skills and developing rough motor skills. Once your child is confident and safe in the water, we teach stroke techniques and centre on stamina building. After completing all Learn to Swim levels coupled with consistent swim practice, your child will have built up the required muscle memory to master the correct stroke techniques for life.

  • Six to 36 months: Babies & Toddlers (6 levels)
  • Three & four years old: Preschool (6 levels)
  • Five years & above: Learn to Swim (6 levels)

To celebrate and encourage our students’ progress and survival skills, we organise the yearly aquaDucks Swim Awards in November. Each student will receive a personal swim award that reflects their progress.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide each of our students an exceptional swim journey within their comfort zone and teach them the best lifesaving and swimming techniques for life.
